Depression

What is depression?

Depression (also known as major depressive disorder) is a common but serious mood disorder that causes persistent feelings of sadness, distain, and loss of interest in daily activities.

1 in 5 adults have been diagnosed with depression in the US. Many factors can cause depression but it is treatable and through clinical trials, we can find the newest forms of treatment and relief for depression.

Clinical Trials for Depression

At Northwest Clinical Trials, we conduct trials for new medications that target the symptoms of depression. Depression symptoms are usually presented as lethargy, mood-changes, and shifts in appetite and motivation.

Medications for depression work in various ways including changing the chemistry of the brain’s neurotransmitters which control mood and emotion.

Eligible participants are compensated for their time and travel.
